Next, I fitted the passenger side trunk pan by grinding the old spotwelds flat and bending the surrounding sheet metal back into its proper position. When I removed the old trunk pan, some of the surrounding supports were bent from chiseling through the old spot welds. After the new pan fit nicely, I tack welded it into place to check for proper fit.
